Description: Our goal was the update the historic Sir Walter Raleigh property while being reverent to the cherished memories of the Raleigh, NC community. The challenges we faced included making sure the existing wall details and finishes proved satisfactory for the Historical Committee while creating comfort for the existing residences and encouraging the community at large to explore this landmark property. Ceilings and walls were opened which uncovered magnificent arched windows, allowing sunlight to pour into the Common Room. The Fitness Room has to be one of Raleigh’s most elegant.
